These terms govern the use of the Onifide app. As with our privacy policy, we have tried to write them to be read — if any passage remains unclear, contact us (§16).
Onifide is published by Mohamed Djamil, sole proprietorship (SIREN 108339714, SIRET of the main establishment 108339714 00017), based in Toulouse, France — referred to as "we" below. The processing of your personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of this contractual relationship.
By creating an account, you accept these terms. Onifide is reserved for people aged 15 and over (the age of digital majority in France). If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.
Onifide is a dream journal with interpretations generated by artificial intelligence. For a single dream, the app can offer several readings, drawn from different interpretive traditions (Islam, Freud, Jung, Christianity, Ancient Greece, Vedic Hinduism) as well as a neuroscientific perspective. Depending on your plan, the service also includes an evolving psychological profile, guided reflection exercises, dream illustrations generated on demand, a side-by-side comparison of several traditions' readings, and a search over your own journal.
Interpretations are generated on demand. Each tradition draws on its own documentary corpus; where that corpus does not cover a dream's symbols well enough, the tradition still answers, with a reading generated by the AI within that tradition's symbolic framework alone, without any excerpt from the corpus. Those gaps are recorded anonymously, without carrying over the content of your dreams, so the corpus can be enriched over time.
Onifide is not a religious authority (not clergy, not a fatwa service, not spiritual teaching), not a medical or psychological service (no diagnosis, no treatment — the guided exercises are tools for personal reflection, not therapy), and not an oracle (no interpretation predicts the future or announces an event).
Every interpretation is presented as the reading of one given symbolic framework, never as a truth. If a dream or an exercise brings up real distress, talk to a health professional or a listening service in your country — and in case of immediate danger, contact the emergency services.
You undertake to provide a valid email address and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for the activity carried out from your account. One account per person; the account is personal and non-transferable. We send you emails related to the operation of your account (verification code, password reset). Onboarding emails (the free guide and a short series of tips) are only sent to you if you have expressly asked for them; each one contains an unsubscribe link, and a switch in the app's settings lets you stop them at any time.
Each plan comes with quotas (number of dreams per day, in-depth interpretations, illustrations, exercises, questions to your journal) whose current values are shown in the app. These quotas exist because every interpretation has a real computing cost; they are enforced server-side. Additional technical safeguards protect the service against abusive or automated use. We may adjust these quotas; a substantial reduction affecting an ongoing paid plan will be signalled to you in the app.
Your dreams remain yours. You keep all your rights over the texts you write or dictate (dreams, mood notes, exercise responses). You grant us only the technical licence needed to operate the service: to store this content, transmit it to our AI provider in order to generate the interpretations and features described in §3, and return it to you (display, export). This licence ends when your content or your account is deleted. We never use your content for advertising purposes and we do not sell it to anyone — the details are in the privacy policy.
You can export your data from the settings (a JSON file containing your dreams, interpretations, mood notes, exercises and profiles; illustrations and comparison syntheses are not included at this stage) and delete your account at any time; account deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also delete a single dream: its content is permanently erased, but deleting it does not give back the dream quota already used.
The interpretations, syntheses, exercise responses, answers to your questions and illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence, drawing on a documentary corpus where it covers the dream. By its nature, this content may be incomplete, approximate or ill-suited to your situation; it is provided as material for reflection, without any warranty of accuracy, and must not be the basis for any important decision (medical, legal, financial, religious or otherwise). The 👍/👎 feedback helps us improve how relevant the service is.
You undertake not to: use the service for unlawful purposes; attempt to circumvent the quotas, billing or security measures; access the service by automated means that are not provided for (scraping, scripts); disrupt its operation; or resell access to the service. Failure to respect these rules may lead to the suspension or termination of the account (§13).
The app, its name, its logo, its interface and its documentary corpus are protected and remain our property or that of our licensors. These terms transfer no right over these elements to you, beyond the personal right to use the app for its intended purpose.
Onifide depends on servers and third-party services (hosting, AI provider, stores): we aim for maximum availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. The service evolves — features may be added, changed or removed. A change that would substantially reduce a service you are currently paying for will be signalled to you in the app; if you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription for the following period and, in the cases provided for by law, request a pro-rata refund through your store.
By you: at any time — cancel the subscription in your store and/or delete your account in the settings (after exporting your data if you wish: deletion is permanent).
By us: in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these terms (in particular §10), after notice where possible. If the service were ever to shut down entirely, this would be announced in the app with a reasonable period for you to export your data.
We provide the service seriously and in good faith. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages, and may not exceed the amounts you have paid us over the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the legal warranties you enjoy as a consumer (in particular the statutory warranties of conformity applicable to digital content and services), nor our liability in the event of gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers residing in another country of the mandatory protections of their local law. In case of disagreement, contact us first (§16): almost every problem is settled by a simple exchange. In accordance with the French Consumer Code, you will be able to use a consumer mediator free of charge; the competent mediator will be appointed and named on this page before subscription sales open. Failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts are those provided for by law.
We may update these terms, for example as the service evolves. Any substantial change will be signalled to you in the app before it takes effect; the date at the top of this page prevails.
